What HVLP stands for 

 

The acronym HVLP stands for high-volume, low-pressure, and it refers to the type of sprayer used in applying paint through air gun spraying. Air gun spraying is the process through which paint is applied with the use of an air-pressurized gun.

This gun is built with a paint basin, nozzle, and air compressor. Upon pressing the trigger, the paint in the device will mix with compressed air, and result in the paint releasing as a fine spray.

The HVLP sprayer releases and propels the paint at a lower pressure.
